“The East Nile Monorail project transforms Egypt with the arrival of 40 modern trains”

Egypt happily welcomes the arrival of trains from the East Nile Monorail project. The Ministry of Transport announced that the 40 trains, consisting of 160 wagons in total, were successfully delivered. Each train consists of four cars, ready to transport passengers over a distance of 56.5 kilometers, connecting Stade station in Nasr City to Justice City station in the new administrative capital. This modern architectural project also includes the construction of 22 stations.

Minister of Transport Kamel al-Wazir stressed the importance of carrying out all project works simultaneously in order to meet the deadlines and preserve the integrity of the project in all sectors. As part of his inspection visit, he met with the director and officials of the National Tunnels Authority to discuss the progress of the work of the control center, which will cover an area of ​​85 hectares and include 13 buildings .

Particular attention is also paid to the commercial exploitation of the project. Advertisements will be placed on monorail poles and at stations, as part of an overall commercial plan aimed at optimizing financial benefits and improving services offered to passengers.

The minister’s visit also made it possible to see the progress made in the construction of the Marshal Tantawi station, as well as the interior and exterior development of station No. 1 at Youssef Abbas, in Nasr City.

In total, the two monorail projects, East Nile and West Nile, will cover a distance of 100 kilometers and include 35 stations. Each monorail line will have a transport capacity of 600,000 passengers per day.

Egypt is resolutely committed to modernizing its transport infrastructure and the East Nile Monorail project is a great example. It will facilitate travel for residents of the region and stimulate the development of the new administrative capital.
