“Tshisekedi’s separatist speeches castigated: political tensions in the DRC as the elections approach”

The separatist speeches of Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo castigated by Delly Sesanga

In a press briefing held in Kananga, Delly Sesanga, national deputy and ally of Moise Katumbi Chapwe, strongly criticized the separatist speeches of outgoing President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo during his popular meeting in Kananga. Sesanga said that the Kasai space had been ignored by previous regimes and that Tshisekedi had missed the opportunity to do something concrete for the Congolese population and in particular for the Kasai people.

Sesanga stressed that Tshisekedi should not make comments dividing the Democratic Republic of Congo and that he should account for his actions during his previous mandate. He also recalled that Kasai is not a political commodity and that it cannot be used as a stepping stone during elections only to be forgotten for the following five years.

The MP also announced the suspension of the arrival of Moise Katumbi in Kananga, in order to avoid clashes with Tshisekedi who had also planned a tour in the greater Kasai area.

This statement from Delly Sesanga adds to the political tensions already present in the DRC in the run-up to the presidential election on December 20. Rivalries and differences of opinion between different political actors continue to give rise to debates and controversies in the country.

This situation highlights the need for constructive dialogue and a common vision for the future of the DRC. The challenges facing the country are numerous and it is essential that political leaders put aside their personal interests and work together for the well-being of the Congolese population.
