“ADEX2023: a resounding success for digital development in the DRC! Discover the highlights of this unmissable event.”

The Digital Development Agency (ADN) recently closed the 12th edition of the Africa Digital Expo International Forum, also known as ADEX2023. This major event was held in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and brought together more than 500 participants interested in the challenges of the country’s digital maturity.

One of the highlights of this edition was the participation of 250 Information Systems Directors (ISDs) from public institutions, who were invited to a special day dedicated to them. This initiative made it possible to create real synergy between public actors and encourage collaboration to accelerate the digitalization of institutions. A collaboration protocol was even signed between ADN and Africa Digital Academy (ADA), a subsidiary of the ADS Group, to set up a training program aimed at strengthening the digital skills of Congolese civil servants.

Alongside these initiatives, the first Round Table of Provincial Agencies for Digital Development was organized, bringing together the provincial agencies of Kinshasa, Kongo Central and other key stakeholders. The objective of this meeting was to coordinate efforts in digital development at the provincial level, in order to ensure a balanced distribution of resources and opportunities across the country.

The ADEX exhibition was also a highlight, highlighting the latest technological innovations in the digital field. Visitors were able to discover the advances made by players in the sector in the DRC, which has given rise to numerous business opportunities.

At the same time, a start-up competition was organized, bringing together 88 participants. The start-up “Lax Tech SARL” finally stood out with its “LaxMedical” solution, a 100% Congolese e-Health platform. This competition made it possible to highlight entrepreneurship and innovation in the Congolese digital sector.

Finally, during this edition, ADN presented the first ADN-PRESIDENCE prizes for “Digital Champions” to major players in digitalization in the DRC, such as the Minister of Finance, the Director General of Regideso and the President from ADS Group.

This 12th edition of the Africa Digital Expo (ADEX2023) was a real success, demonstrating the DRC’s desire to play a leading role in digital development in Africa. Thanks to initiatives such as the training of civil servants, the coordination of provincial agencies and the promotion of digital entrepreneurship, the country is positioning itself as a major player in the digital transformation of public administration and the Congolese economy.
