Political news in the Democratic Republic of Congo: Candidates for the presidential election launch their campaign in different regions of the country

While the electoral period is in full swing in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), candidates for the presidential election have started their campaign to convince voters. With different speeches and strategies, each of them seeks to stand out and rally as much support as possible.

Candidate Aggrey Ngalasi, who claims to have received the order from God to restore the country, launched his electoral campaign in Kinshasa. He promises to continue his campaign in the capital, hoping to rally many sympathizers to his cause.

The outgoing president, Félix Tshisekedi, for his part, began his campaign in the province of South Ubangi. He made a first stop in Gemena, where he met his supporters and outlined his plans for the development of the region.

Moise Katumbi, another presidential candidate, chose to go to Beni, in the province of North Kivu. He met the local population and discussed the challenges facing the region.

Constant Mutamba, candidate number 2, for his part, began his campaign in the province of Mai-ndombe, by going to the town of Inongo. He met with representatives of civil society and local political actors to discuss issues in the region.

Finally, Noel Tshiani, candidate for the presidential election, went to Kikwit, in the province of Kwilu. He took part in popular rallies and listened to the concerns of residents of the region.

Each candidate thus tries to put forward their ideas, their proposals and their vision for the future of the DRC. The electoral campaign therefore promises to be intense and will be an opportunity for citizens to familiarize themselves with the different programs and to make their choice during the December 2023 election. The stakes are high, and the result of these presidential elections will determine the direction the country will take in the years to come.
