Paramilitary training of student volunteers in Bengamisa, Kisangani
The paramilitary training of student volunteers from student circles was launched Thursday, November 9 in Bengamisa, a locality located 50 km north of Kisangani, in the Tshopo region in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative, orchestrated by the Ministry of Higher and University Education (ESU), aims to train reservists for the national army.
This training, lasting one month, welcomes volunteers not only from Kisangani, but also from Goma and other regions. The responsible minister, Muhindo Nzangi, stressed the importance of this training for the students, who will be entrusted with responsibility as army reservists. He also reassured students that their individual situation would be taken into account, particularly with regard to their studies and their sessions.
During this training, student volunteers will have the opportunity to learn essential skills in self-defense, weapons handling and discipline. This knowledge will be useful to them as reservists, so that they can make themselves available to the country when needed.
This initiative demonstrates the Democratic Republic of Congo’s commitment to training responsible youth ready to defend their country. It also marks a new stage in the integration of students into national security issues.
It is important to emphasize that this paramilitary training in no way replaces the academic training of students. Student volunteers will be offered accommodations to reconcile their studies and their participation in training.
In conclusion, the paramilitary training of student volunteers in Bengamisa, Kisangani constitutes an important step towards the involvement of young people in the defense of their country. This initiative will enable students to develop essential security skills and strengthen their commitment to their nation.
