Article: President Tshisekedi calls for the implementation of the law on the protection of people living with disabilities in the DRC
The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, recently called for the implementation of the law on the protection of people living with disabilities. During the official launch of the campaign to popularize this law in Kinshasa, the president stressed the importance of this legislation to guarantee the rights of people with disabilities in the country.

This call from President Tshisekedi comes in the context of the launch of the Joint United Nations Partnership Project for the Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNPRPD) by the head of the Congolese government less than two months ago. This project aims to strengthen policies for the protection and promotion of the rights of people with disabilities in the DRC.
