The displaced people of Kwamouth, settled in Bandundu-ville, received a precious donation of medicines from the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi. This initiative aims to ensure the care of this population which was displaced due to insecurity in the province of Kwilu.
The delivery of the medicines took place during a solemn ceremony, highlighting President Tshisekedi’s commitment to the population in distress. The head of the Kwilu Provincial Health Division, Dr. Jean-Pierre Basake, expressed his gratitude to the President for the commendable gesture. He stressed that this donation will allow effective medical care for the displaced, who were exposed to numerous health problems during their displacement.
Dr Basake also took the opportunity to advocate for other displaced people in the Fatundu and Kikongo reception centers.
