Talented Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy recently suffered a setback in his meteoric rise to the Bundesliga. With 14 goals in eight matches, he topped the scoring charts and was a sensation in the German league. Unfortunately, in the last match against Union Berlin, Guirassy was forced to leave the field due to hamstring pain.
This injury represents a real blow for the Guinea international, as well as for his team. Indeed, Guirassy was in great form in recent weeks and his contribution was crucial for Stuttgart. His coach, Sebastian Hoeness, described the loss as “bitter” for the player and the team.
The former Rennes striker established himself as this season’s revelation in the Bundesliga, scoring in all but one of his team’s league matches. He had already surpassed his goal tally from the previous season and propelled Stuttgart to second place in the table.
Serhou Guirassy also put in an impressive performance, moving five points ahead of Bayern Munich star striker Harry Kane in the scorers’ standings. He even became the second player, after Cristiano Ronaldo, to score 14 goals or more in his first eight matches in the five major European championships.
This hamstring injury will therefore deprive Stuttgart of its major asset for a few weeks. The team will now have to find solutions to compensate for his absence and continue to perform at the same level.
While waiting for the return of Serhou Guirassy, Stuttgart supporters can console themselves by remembering the exceptional performances of their striker and hoping that he will return to the field in top form to help his team achieve their goals.
