Félix Tshisekedi’s campaign team is setting up for the presidential election in the DRC: details of its composition

Félix Tshisekedi’s campaign team for the presidential election in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is being set up with the appointment of Jacquemain Shabani and Acacia Bandubola at its head. These two personalities, respectively president of the Permanent Electoral Commission (CEP) of the UDPS and special advisor to the Head of State in charge of the electoral process, will bring their expertise and support to the candidate’s campaign.

This campaign team will be made up of six members of the presidium of the Sacred Union of the Nation, whose mission will be to coordinate the different linguistic zones of the country. Among these members, we find political figures such as Augustin Kabuya for Grand Kasaï, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde for Grand Katanga, Jean Pierre Bemba for Grand Équateur, Mboso N’kodia M’Pwanga for Grand Bandundu, as well as Vital Kamerhe and Bahati Lukuebo for Grand Kivu.

This campaign team will also be supported by eight other people who will soon be appointed, as well as four district coordinators in the city of Kinshasa.

In a context where several candidates are preparing for the presidential election, one of Félix Tshisekedi’s challengers, Doctor Denis Mukwege, also announced the appointment of Didier Mumengi, former information minister of Laurent Désiré Kabila, as director of his electoral campaign.

These appointments constitute an important step in the preparation of the presidential election in the DRC, which will be held on December 20. Candidates and their campaign teams actively work to mobilize voters and present their programs and visions for the country.

It will be interesting to follow the evolution of this electoral campaign and to see how the different teams position themselves and communicate with the Congolese population. The stakes are high for the future of the DRC, and voters will have a key role to play in choosing their next president.
