Organized as part of the Salik initiative, the Kongo Central Book Fair will have the theme “Literature, a vector of peace and national cohesion”. The organizers wish to make this event a place of sharing, exchange and reflection on the socio-political life of the country.

The program includes conferences, workshops, training, as well as activities around socio-political themes. The objective is to invite young people to reappropriate the Congolese literary heritage and to use it as a lever for resourcing and creativity.

The Kongo Central Book Fair aims to be a real moment of meeting between renowned literary and cultural actors, as well as the public. Renowned authors, both local and from elsewhere, will be present to share their experiences and immerse participants in the fascinating world of Congolese literature.

The Kongo Central Book Fair is an initiative which aims to decentralize culture and provide a support space for young people. It also wishes to promote exchanges and networks between cultural actors from different regions of the DRC and around the world.
