New ambassadors accredited to the Democratic Republic of Congo

The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, recently welcomed several new ambassadors to the Palais de la Nation who came to present their credentials. This protocol ceremony, which took place on October 19, allowed the Congolese Head of State to strengthen diplomatic relations with these represented countries.

A total of six extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors were received during this solemn occasion. Alpheus Matlhaku of the Republic of Botswana, Mohamed Bourhan Ali of Djibouti, Pavel Prochazka of the Czech Republic, Marie Charlotte G. Tang of the Philippines, Veluppilai Kananathan of Sri Lanka and Minoli Tehani Perera of Australia are now tasked with representing their countries respective countries in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It should be noted that this ceremony follows a previous one where President Tshisekedi had already ratified the credentials of four other ambassadors. Also now stationed in the Democratic Republic of Congo are Anwar Orthman Barout Albarout Albaroudi from the United Arab Emirates, Roxane De Bilderling from Belgium, Angele-Marianne Van Der Heijden Samura from the Netherlands and Odd Molster from Norway.

These arrivals demonstrate the importance of diplomatic relations between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the countries represented by these ambassadors. They will strengthen cultural, economic and political exchanges between the nations concerned.
