Renovation work on the Mabanga Center in Kinshasa, DRC
Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is currently undergoing a major renovation of the Center for Mixed Medicine and Anemia, also known as the Mabanga Center. The First Lady of the Republic, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, recently inspected the works to ensure their progress in accordance with the established schedule.
After several months of work, the Mabanga Center will soon be ready to reopen its doors. The renovations will provide patients with modern facilities that meet the highest health standards. In addition, new services such as ophthalmology and dentistry will now be accessible, thus expanding the possibilities for treating patients.
The Mabanga Center plays a crucial role in the fight against sickle cell disease, a genetic disease that affects many Congolese. Last February, the first lady launched rehabilitation and modernization work on this structure, in order to improve the quality of care and management of patients suffering from this disease.
Thanks to the support of the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation partners, patients will benefit from an environment conducive to their healing, with care adapted to their needs. At the same time, the Foundation is also involved in raising awareness of sickle cell disease, encouraging early detection and supporting patient care structures.
The renovation of the Mabanga Center is therefore excellent news for the health of the Congolese. By offering modern facilities and complementary services, this center will be able to respond more effectively to the needs of patients, thus contributing to the overall improvement of healthcare in the DRC.
Staying informed and supporting initiatives such as the renovation of the Mabanga Center are essential to fostering the development and improvement of health infrastructure in the country. It is through concrete and committed actions that progress can be made in the fight against diseases and improving the quality of life of the Congolese population.
