Kamoto Cooper Company (KCC) business control: An essential step to ensure a healthy business climate in the DRC

The Director General of ARSP (Regulation and Monitoring Agency for Public Subsidies), Miguel Kashal, continues his monitoring mission within companies established in the Lualaba province in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This time, accompanied by the President of the Congo Business Federation (FEC) Lualaba, he went to the Kamoto Cooper Company (KCC), based in Kolwezi.

This control visit takes place as part of the verification of the regularity of subcontracting activities within KCC, a major company in the region. The FEC welcomed this approach, emphasizing that the partnership between the ARSP and businesses will benefit local entrepreneurs.

Since the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the ARSP and the FEC, little progress has been noted. However, the presence of Director General Miguel Kashal on site raises hope regarding the materialization of initiatives in favor of Congolese entrepreneurs. Indeed, the subcontractors present in the ARSP delegation expressed their confidence in Miguel Kashal, considering him as a true defender of the interests of entrepreneurs, particularly those of the younger generation.

This control of the companies KCC, KAMOA and SICOMINES is in strict compliance with the Law on subcontracting and its implementing measures. The main objective is to preserve a healthy business climate in the DRC, in accordance with the vision of the President of the Republic Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi.

In conclusion, the inspection visit to the KCC company by the Director General of ARSP, Miguel Kashal, marks a significant step forward in the promotion of Congolese entrepreneurs and the regularization of subcontracting activities. The joint efforts of the ARSP and the FEC aim to create an environment conducive to the economic development of the country, by providing better opportunities to local actors and ensuring compliance with established rules.
