News: The Common Front for Congo sets its prerequisites to participate in the electoral process

In an interview with a SADC delegation in Kinshasa, the Common Front for Congo (FCC), Joseph Kabila’s political platform, reiterated its major concerns for its participation in the current electoral process.

Marie-Ange Mushobekwa, FCC executive, highlighted during this meeting the essential points that must be taken into account. Among these prerequisites, we find in particular the guarantee of a transparent and fair electoral process, the establishment of a peaceful political climate and respect for fundamental rights and freedoms.

The FCC also insists on the need to implement structural reforms to consolidate democracy and ensure real political alternation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This meeting with the SADC delegation demonstrates the importance given to dialogue and the search for consensual solutions to prepare the country for the next electoral events.

The FCC thus recalls its commitment to actively contribute to the construction of an environment conducive to free and fair elections, in compliance with international democratic standards.

It is crucial for stability and democracy in the DRC that the various stakeholders can reach an agreement on the conditions for holding transparent and credible elections.

The country is at a decisive turning point in its history, and the holding of peaceful and democratic elections will be a fundamental step towards the consolidation of peace and development.

As the FCC has played a central role in Congolese politics in recent years, it is essential to take into account its concerns to guarantee the participation of all political forces in the electoral process.

The meeting between the FCC and the SADC delegation thus constitutes an important step in the search for consensus and an inclusive solution for the upcoming elections in the DRC. The continuity of dialogue and the consideration of different political actors are essential to ensure the legitimacy and transparency of the electoral process.
