The First Lady of the Republic, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, went to the University of Kinshasa to encourage the finalists of the Excellentia Scholarship during their selection test. Organized by the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation, this event brought together finalist students who obtained a score of at least 85% on the Exetat, the Congolese national exam.

The finalists from different regions of the country, such as Lodja, Tshikapa, Kananga, Mbuji-Mayi, Goma, Lubumbashi, Mbanza-Ngungu and Kinshasa, were tested in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kinshasa. In total, 234 out of 254 eligible students took the test which included 100 questions.

The Excellentia Scholarship offers full support for university studies for 5 years, whether abroad or in the Democratic Republic of Congo. To benefit from the scholarship, students must obtain a score of at least 70% in the selection test.

In a press release from the DNT Foundation, it is mentioned that the Excellentia Program currently has 241 scholarship holders, of which 82 are enrolled in foreign universities and 159 are continuing their studies in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The presence of the First Lady during this event testifies to her commitment to education and the encouragement of young Congolese talents. She addressed words of encouragement to the finalists, urging them to give the best of themselves to be among the beneficiaries of the Excellentia Scholarship.

This selection test represents a crucial step for finalists, offering them a unique opportunity to access quality education and contribute to the development of their country.

The Excellentia Scholarship, created by the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation, is a project that aims to support and encourage talented and deserving students, by providing them with opportunities for higher education.
