“Jean-Pierre Bemba denounces the Kagame administration’s diabolical plan to sabotage the DRC’s stability and development efforts”

Jean-Pierre Bemba denounces the Kagame administration’s diabolical plan aimed at sabotaging the DRC’s stability and development efforts.

In a recent speech, the Congolese Minister of Defense, Jean-Pierre Bemba, strongly criticized the occupation of certain localities in North Kivu by the Rwandan armed forces. According to him, this aggression is part of a diabolical plan hatched by the Kigali government to sabotage the stabilization and development initiatives of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

During the launch of the “United for Peace and Security” project financed by the European Union, Jean-Pierre Bemba underlined the context in which this program is implemented, marked by the aggression of the DRC by Rwanda and by the occupation of certain areas by the M23. He denounced the malicious intentions of the Kagame administration and its desire to destabilize the DRC.

Despite these provocations, the Congolese Minister of Defense remains confident and declares that the DRC will emerge victorious from this adversity. He affirms that the Congolese people and their armed forces will not cede any portion of their territory, because they are at home and will defend the land of their ancestors.

To support this fight against Rwandan aggression, the “United for Peace and Security” project was launched in partnership with the European Union. This program, which will last 48 months, aims to strengthen governance and the rule of law in the DRC, to fight impunity and corruption, and to promote just and lasting peace. The Congolese civil and military authorities will be assisted in their army reform process.

In conclusion, Jean-Pierre Bemba strongly condemns Rwanda’s aggression in the DRC and affirms his country’s determination to protect its territory. The “United for Peace and Security” project supports this desire to restore stability and continue the development of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
