“The Wazalendo resistance fighters regain control against the M23 terrorists in North Kivu”

Clashes between M23 terrorists and young patriotic resistance fighters “Wazalendo” are raging in the North Kivu region in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since the start of the day on Monday October 9, violent fighting has broken out, leading to the recapture of the Kitshanga-Goma road and several villages in Masisi territory by Wazalendo resistance fighters.

According to a source close to the young patriots “Wazalendo”, the Goma-Kitshanga road is now entirely under their control, which means that the entire territory of Masisi is freed from the hands of M23 terrorists. However, fighting continues in the groups of Bishusa, Tongo Kisigari, Binza, Busanza and Bukoma, in Rutshuru territory.

After recovering several villages in Masisi territory, the “Wazalendo” fighters stormed the villages in Rutshuru territory. They successfully dislodged the M23 terrorists from the strategic Mudugudu hill, opening the way to the village of Bwiza, a major M23 stronghold. In addition, two villages, Ruya and Swagara, are now under the control of the “Wazalendo” patriots in the Tongo groupement.

Following their entry into the town of Kitchanga, the young “Wazalendo” resistance fighters held a meeting where they apologized for the atrocities committed previously and called for the collaboration of the population to win this war. They highlighted the difficulty of fighting the M23 with limited resources, and asked the government to provide them with adequate support.

For its part, the government, through its spokesperson, affirmed that the young patriots should not be described as negative forces, because they defend the homeland in areas still under occupation. The government sticks to respecting the ceasefire and the ongoing process, in accordance with the Luanda road map.

These clashes illustrate the complex situation in which the North Kivu region finds itself, with armed groups continuing to sow terror and resistance fighters fighting to protect their country. The liberation of strategic villages and roads is an important step forward, but much remains to be done to restore peace and stability in the region.

In conclusion, the fighting between M23 terrorists and Wazalendo resistance fighters continues in North Kivu. The resistance fighters managed to regain control of the Kitshanga-Goma road and several villages in Masisi territory, and they are now continuing their advances in Rutshuru territory. This situation highlights the security challenges facing the region, but also the determination of young patriots to defend their country against any aggression. The support of the government and the collaboration of the population are essential to winning this war and restoring peace to the region.
