News: Strengthening the capacities of electoral witnesses by political forces allied to the UDPS/Tshisekedi
Political and social forces allied to the UDPS/Tshisekedi (FPAU) recently organized a capacity building workshop for electoral witnesses in Kinshasa. This event aimed to train and equip participants on electoral dispute procedures in order to improve the monitoring of the votes of candidates aligned for the FPAU during the next elections.
The workshop was hailed as an essential initiative to professionalize electoral witnesses and ensure the smooth running of the democratic process. Leading political representatives, such as ministers, national deputies and senators, participated in this activity, demonstrating the commitment of the political forces allied to the UDPS/Tshisekedi in favor of a transparent and fair election.
According to the general coordinator of the FPAU, Deputy Minister of Budget Elysé Bokumwana Maposo, this capacity building workshop was an important step in preparing electoral witnesses for their crucial role in monitoring polling stations. He stressed the importance of having well-trained witnesses who understand their responsibilities and know how to act in the event of problems or challenges during the vote.
The training of electoral witnesses is of particular importance in the current political context of the Democratic Republic of Congo. As Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi plans to run for a new term in the December 2023 elections, it is essential to put in place the necessary mechanisms to guarantee free and fair elections.
By strengthening the skills of electoral witnesses, political forces allied to the UDPS/Tshisekedi (FPAU) seek to ensure the transparency of the electoral process and prevent possible irregularities. These witnesses will play a key role in monitoring votes in favor of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, as well as national and provincial deputies aligned for the FPAU.
This capacity building workshop for electoral witnesses demonstrates the commitment of political forces allied to the UDPS/Tshisekedi to democracy and the integrity of the electoral process in the Democratic Republic of Congo. By training competent witnesses, they help ensure free, transparent and credible elections for the good of the nation.
