Difficulties in supplying electricity in Kinshasa: SNEL promises solutions
In many neighborhoods of Kinshasa, the population faces frequent power cuts, which occur early in the morning and are not restored until late at night. This situation generates great frustration among residents, who are also facing major problems in purchasing electricity credits due to malfunctions in the prepaid sales system.
Denis Tukuzu, the interim distribution director of the National Electricity Company (SNEL) in Kinshasa, was invited on Radio Okapi to take stock of these problems. He announced that SNEL is actively working on solutions to remedy this.
Denis Tukuzu notably mentioned the “SNEL et moi” project, which will soon be extended to all prepayment customers. This project will allow SNEL subscribers to recharge their accounts electronically, in order to simplify the process of purchasing prepaid electricity.
This announcement is a positive sign for the inhabitants of Kinshasa, who hope to see concrete improvements in the supply of electricity and the purchase of electric credits.
It is essential that SNEL puts in place effective measures to resolve these problems, in order to ensure continued access to electricity for the inhabitants of Kinshasa. Electricity is an essential part of daily life, necessary for lighting, household appliances and professional activities. Its absence or limited availability directly affects the quality of life of residents and hinders the economic development of the region.
In conclusion, SNEL has become aware of the difficulties encountered by the inhabitants of Kinshasa in terms of electricity supply and the purchase of electricity credits. Projects such as “SNEL and me” are an encouraging response to these problems. It is now fundamental that these solutions are quickly implemented to significantly improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Kinshasa and promote the economic development of the region.
