The alarming observation of blocked gutters:
During his inspection on Mushi Avenue in the commune of Lingwala, Minister Alexis Gisaro noted that the gutters were completely full, clogged with waste. He highlighted the lack of civic-mindedness of the population who neglect the importance of gutters as a means of evacuating water. Cleaning work in progress:
River cleaning work has begun on the Gombe River, one of the main outlets of the city of Kinshasa. The Roads and Drainage Office as well as several companies are mobilized to carry out the cleaning of gutters and water collectors in different areas of the capital. The call for good citizenship and hygiene:
Minister Alexis Gisaro took this opportunity to remind the population of the importance of good citizenship and respect for hygiene standards. He stressed that waste disposal should be dealt with at the provincial level and called on everyone to show responsibility by avoiding throwing waste into the gutters.
