“President Tshisekedi inaugurates key infrastructure in Lubumbashi, promoting the economic development of the region”

The presidential couple has been staying in Lubumbashi, in the Haut-Katanga province since this Sunday, October 1, 2023, causing great excitement in the city. Welcomed by a jubilant crowd at Luano airport, President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi plans to devote his stay to the inauguration of several important works.

According to an official source, the Head of State will travel to Kasumbalesa this Tuesday, October 3, to inaugurate the new customs building as well as the corridor for small cross-border traders. This inauguration is of capital importance to facilitate trade between the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries.

The same day, President Tshisekedi will also travel to Sakania, located 120 km from Kasumbalesa, to inaugurate the LUKANGABA dry port and the new customs building. These strategic infrastructures will contribute to the economic development of the region by promoting trade and creating new employment opportunities.

In Lubumbashi, President Tshisekedi also plans to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Haut-Katanga Provincial Assembly. This modern and functional building will allow local elected officials to work in optimal conditions and better serve the population.

Furthermore, on Monday October 2, 2023, the presidential couple will travel to Kolwezi, in the province of Lualaba, for the inauguration of several other infrastructures.
