Adolphe Muzito announces his candidacy for the presidential election of December 2023 to liberate Congo

Adolphe Muzito, president of the political party Nouvel Élan, officially filed his candidacy for the presidential election of December 2023. This announcement took place during a visit to the Office of Reception and Processing of Applications (BRTC). Patricia Nseya, Rapporteur of the Electoral Center, welcomed Adolphe Muzito and took him to the president of the CENI, Denis Kadima, with whom he had an interview.

In an interview after this meeting, Adolphe Muzito expressed his motivations and objectives as a presidential candidate. He wishes to liberate the Congo from a political, diplomatic, economic and social point of view. Its objective is to build and develop the country, by offering the Congolese normal living conditions, with access to education, decent housing and well-paid jobs.

Asked about the possibility of a single opposition candidacy, Adolphe Muzito was reserved. He believes that, for the moment, it is important to present his program and discuss with the other candidates before considering a possible convergence within the opposition.

Adolphe Muzito is the sixth candidate to run in the presidential election, joining Augustin Matata Ponyo, Constant Mutamba, Radjabo Tebabho, Rex Kazadi and Franck Diongo.

This candidacy marks an important step in the Congolese political landscape, with multiple actors positioning themselves for the December 2023 elections. It now remains to be seen how the electoral campaign will unfold and what the various candidates’ proposals will be for the future of the Congo. Stay tuned for the latest news on this exciting presidential election.
