The Chris Ngal Foundation recently organized an awareness campaign to highlight the rights of women and girls. This initiative took place at the Utex Africa dealership in Kinshasa and brought together more than 20 women and young girls.

This campaign, carried out in partnership with the gender section of MONUSCO, addresses several important themes such as early marriage, gender-based violence, gender equality, reproductive and sexual health, political participation and empowerment. financial.

Foundation coordinator Chris Muakuya Ngalamulume says the campaign is the result of extensive research and consultations with women’s rights experts. The main objective is to identify the problems faced by women and girls in the Congolese community, in order to promote their empowerment and gender equality.

In addition to the workshops organized during this campaign, the Chris Ngal Foundation’s mission is to raise awareness on a large scale in order to encourage a change in attitude and behavior towards women. Actions will be carried out in schools and universities to reach as many girls as possible and provide them with essential information about their rights.
