“30 years of solidarity and transmission of values: The Fraternity of Former Students of Minor Seminaries of Cibimbi-Mugeri celebrates its anniversary with honor”

Thirty years have passed since the creation of the Fraternity of Former Students of Small Seminarists of Cibimbi-Mugeri (FRAM-Asbl) in Kinshasa. This event was celebrated on September 24 during a thanksgiving mass at the Theresianum center. The opportunity was perfect to pay tribute to the founding members of this fraternity by awarding certificates of merit.

During these three decades, FRAM-Asbl has carried out numerous projects in favor of the Alma Mater, the minor seminaries of Mugeri. Among these achievements, the establishment of an Internet connection in the establishment, the strengthening of the library and the provision of desks to science classes, allowing students to obtain their first diploma.

FRAM-Asbl brings together several branches across the country, from Kinshasa to South Kivu via North Kivu, Beni, Butembo, Uvira, Bujumbura. It also has branches abroad, notably in the United States, Europe and Kampala.

For Modeste Bahati Lukwebo, former seminarian and current President of the Senate, this fraternity plays an essential role in transmitting spiritual, moral, republican and solidarity values to future generations. He thus reaffirms his commitment to supporting the young people gathered within the FRAM-Asbl.

The Fraternity of Former Students of Minor Seminarists of Cibimbi-Mugeri was created in 1993 by Fabien FALIALA. Its objective is to promote bonds of fraternity and solidarity between former students of minor seminaries. It is also her mission to support them mutually.

In this thirtieth year of existence, FRAM-Asbl continues to develop and work for the well-being of the small seminaries of Mugeri. These former seminarians remain attached to their Alma Mater and invest in income-generating projects to enable women to become economically independent.

The celebration of this thirtieth anniversary is an opportunity to highlight the importance of the formation of former seminarians and the legacy they transmit to future generations. The Fraternity of Former Students of Small Seminarists of Cibimbi-Mugeri continues to write its history and contribute to the development of Congolese youth.
