The final list of candidates for national deputy for the next elections was recently published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI). This announcement was made in a press release made public on September 23 in Kinshasa.
The CENI examined a total of 242 requests filed with the Constitutional Court. Of these requests, 141 were deemed admissible and well-founded, 43 admissible but unfounded, and 68 were deemed inadmissible.
Among the requests deemed admissible and well-founded, the Constitutional Court ordered the registration of four political parties and groups. These are the Alliance of Congolese for the Refoundation of the Nation, Love of Neighbors and the Congo Homeland, Patriotic Front 2023 and New Conscious Generation.
The final lists of candidates for the election of national deputies are now posted at the CENI branches in each electoral constituency, and they are also available on the official CENI website (www.ceni.cd).
The electoral calendar established by the CENI provides that the electoral campaign for the election of national deputies will take place from November 19 to December 18, 2023.
