Title: The involvement of political representatives in electoral citizenship, a major issue for an inclusive electoral process
Introduction :
As part of the preparations for the December 2023 elections, the President of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), Denis KADIMA KAZADI, underlined the importance of the involvement of representatives of political parties and groups in the electoral citizenship of their voters . The objective is to ensure broad inclusiveness of the electoral process. During a consultation framework organized with political representatives, Denis KADIMA KAZADI highlighted the irreversible nature of these elections and recalled the key stages of the electoral process.
The role of political representatives in electoral citizenship:
Denis KADIMA KAZADI insisted on the importance for political representatives to be actively involved in the electoral education of their activists. Despite a delay in the publication of the final list of candidates, the President of the CENI reassured political representatives by affirming that this will not have serious consequences on the electoral calendar. The CENI continues to work in accordance with its electoral calendar, and the opening of the Office for Reception and Processing of candidatures for the presidential election has already been completed. Denis KADIMA KAZADI reaffirmed the determination of the CENI to respect the deadlines set for holding the elections.

During the consultation framework, CENI experts shared essential information for the preparation of the next stages of the electoral process. They notably addressed topics such as the concept of electoral lists, the mapping of polling stations, the accreditations of witnesses, observers and journalists, as well as the voting and counting process and the use of the Electronic Voting Device. (DEV). Participants were able to ask questions and discuss with experts to clarify their concerns.
