“Triumphant return of schools to Boga: a record start to the school year a sign of renewed security”

After the military operations carried out by the security services to track down ADF fighters, the Boga region is finally seeing the return of school activities for the 2023-2024 school year.

According to the president of the Boga axis schools, the start of the school year took place with remarkable efficiency, reaching a rate of 98% compared to previous years. This marked increase can be explained by the apparent calm currently reigning in the region.

“The number of students has doubled compared to previous years. If we had 200 students, we now have more than 450, and this is almost universal,” said Kisembo Magezi.

Despite the start of school activities, school heads expressed their wish that the security services take the necessary measures to ensure the protection of the villages in this part of the Irumu territory, in order to guarantee the stability of the school calendar.

This resumption of school activities in the Boga region is an encouraging sign, testifying to the population’s commitment to continuing the education of their children despite the challenges encountered. It also demonstrates the efforts of local authorities and security services to restore security and provide an environment conducive to learning.

It is essential that this positive dynamic continues and that additional measures are taken to ensure the safety of schools and students. Education is a fundamental pillar of the development of a community and it is therefore essential to protect and promote it.

The resumption of school activities in Boga is an important step towards the reconstruction and normalization of daily life in this region. Hopefully this positive trend continues and children can continue to receive a quality education in a safe and stable environment. Education is the key to building a better future and it is through initiatives such as this that we can hope to see positive change happen.
