The President of the Republic Félix Tshisekedi recently spoke about the level of execution of the 2021-2023 government program. During the report of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Communication, Patrick Muyaya, announced that the Head of State was satisfied with the achievements accomplished so far, although certain points remain being finalized.
One of the advances mentioned concerns the participation of the DRC in a diplomatic conference in Slovenia. President Tshisekedi stressed the importance of this convention to fight against the impunity of perpetrators of international crimes, so that they cannot escape prosecution by taking refuge in neighboring countries. This initiative is part of the President’s desire to have men and women of law with integrity and competence.
To achieve this objective, Félix Tshisekedi recommended continuing training for magistrates and better management of disciplinary chambers within the Superior Council of the Judiciary. He also insisted on the need to recruit sufficient magistrates in all jurisdictions of the country.
This desire to strengthen the judicial system is part of a broader fight against anti-values and corruption in the country. President Tshisekedi is determined to establish a culture of integrity and morality within the judiciary.
Furthermore, the Congolese government continues to face security challenges. The fight against insecurity and armed groups remains a priority. Efforts are being made to strengthen security in Kinshasa and other regions of the country, to ensure an environment conducive to economic development and entrepreneurship.
Despite the progress made, certain problems persist. Embezzlement scandals have recently emerged, highlighting the need to fight corruption and strengthen economic governance.
In conclusion, the 2021-2023 government program of the DRC is making progress in implementing measures aimed at strengthening the judicial system, fighting insecurity and corruption, and promoting economic development. President Félix Tshisekedi expresses his satisfaction with the achievements already accomplished, but also emphasizes the need to continue working to overcome the remaining challenges.
