Handing over funds to Congolese entrepreneurs in Kinshasa

Monday, July 31, the Congo Entrepreneurship Guarantee Fund (FOGEC) organized a ceremony to hand over funds to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Kinshasa. In total, 1,800,000 USD were distributed to 90 business managers spread across 15 provinces of the DRC.

During this ceremony, the beneficiaries expressed their joy and gratitude for having obtained this funding. Some of them shared their journey and encouraged other Congolese entrepreneurs to apply to benefit from this funding.

The Director General of FOGEC, Laurent Munzemba, explained that this financing has a duration of three years with an interest rate of 5% per year. He also stressed that FOGEC’s mission is to help Congolese entrepreneurs access financing by negotiating more flexible credit conditions in their favor.

This project benefits from the partnership of ECOBANK and BGFI Bank, which support FOGEC in its mission to support Congolese entrepreneurs.
