The President of the Republic Félix Tshisekedi welcomes the progress made by the government as part of its 2021-2023 program. Despite some outstanding points, the Head of State expresses his satisfaction with the execution of the program, according to the Minister of Communication Patrick Muyaya.
During the Council of Ministers, several subjects were discussed, including the participation of the DRC in a diplomatic conference in Slovenia. President Tshisekedi announced that the country would be represented by an interinstitutional commission during this event. This participation aims to strengthen the DRC’s commitment to the fight against international crimes and to prevent criminals from finding refuge in the territories of neighboring states.
The Head of State also insists on the need to fight against anti-values in the judicial system. He wants to see exemplary men and women of the law, with solid moral values and intellectual expertise. To achieve this, he recommends continuing training and better sanctioning of offenses within the Superior Council of the Judiciary.
Félix Tshisekedi instructs the government to put in place the necessary means to ensure the proper functioning of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, in particular by providing a sufficient number of magistrates in all jurisdictions of the Republic.
Thus, the President of the Republic is satisfied with the government’s progress in the implementation of its program. Its desire to strengthen the representation of the DRC abroad and improve the quality of the judicial system demonstrates its commitment to transparency and justice in the country.
