Indeed, these works were sent aboard the Chinese spacecraft Shenzhou to the “Tiangong” space station.
A virtual meeting between Chinese artists and astronauts:
To celebrate this exceptional selection, a virtual meeting was organized between African artists and Chinese astronauts present in the “Tiangong” space station. In Kinshasa, the Congolese capital, many art and technology students participated in this online event. This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss space, art and innovation, but also to explore the possibilities of future collaboration between China and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the space field.
The importance of international cooperation:
This experience highlights the importance of international cooperation in the field of space exploration. Technological and scientific advances know no borders, and collaboration between countries is essential to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and creativity. China, by opening its doors to African artists and offering them the opportunity to exhibit their talent aboard the “Tiangong” space station, shows its desire to promote international artistic and scientific cooperation.
Towards new perspectives:
This selection at the Chinese space station “Tiangong” opens new perspectives for African artists. It allows them to explore new territories and use space as a source of inspiration.. In addition, this provides exceptional visibility for African art and gives the opportunity to introduce astronauts and visitors to the space station to the cultural and artistic wealth of the African continent.
Conclusion :
African art is flying to new horizons, to the Chinese space station “Tiangong”. The selected work of Espoir Mukerwa Alvin and the participation of African artists in this competition open up numerous perspectives and testify to the capacity of art to transcend borders.
