Paris 2024: Congolese pugilists qualify for the quarter-finals of Olympic qualifications

Seven pugilists from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) brilliantly managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifications. This group made up of five men and two women will participate in this crucial stage of the qualifications on Wednesday September 13 in Dakar , in Senegal.

These Congolese athletes demonstrated a remarkable performance during these qualifiers, with the aim of doing better than in previous qualifiers for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Although they face strong competition, particularly from Maghreb countries with advanced preparation in this discipline, Congolese pugilists hope to capitalize on their recent success at the African Championships in Yaoundé, where they obtained their best historical ranking in rising to second place.
