Congolese league 1 championship: Victories for Lupopo and withdrawal of Tshinkunku

The Congolese league 1 championship had an eventful day on Thursday September 7. Two meetings were planned, in Likasi and Lubumbashi, to the delight of Congolese football fans. In the end, FC Saint Eloi Lupopo won against Blessing FC with a score of 2-0, thanks to goals from Horso Mwaku and José Kazema. A positive result which allows Lupopo to continue its momentum in this championship.

However, another match which was to take place in Lubumbashi between Lubumbashi Sport and US Tshinkunku did not take place. Indeed, the Tshinkunku team from Kananga was unable to make the trip, encountering difficulties in getting to Lubumbashi. A situation which certainly disappointed the supporters present and which left the field empty for this match.

Despite this incident, the championship will continue with new meetings to come. In group A, FC Lubumbashi will face TP Mazembe in its stadium on Sunday September 10 at 3:30 p.m. On the other side, in Likasi, Lupopo will face US Panda. In group B in Kinshasa, DCMP will face Céleste FC. Matches that promise to be exciting and will allow the teams to continue to fight for a place at the top of the rankings.
