Launch of the 2023-2024 school year in Congo Kinshasa: a priority for quality education

This Monday, September 4, 2023, the Minister of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST), Tony Mwaba Kazadi, inaugurated the start of the 2023-2024 school year at the Mulekwa Nsapu school, located in the commune of Mont -Ngafula in Kinshasa. This new school year is under the theme “improving the quality of education through good governance and accountability”.

During his speech, the Congolese Minister of EPST took stock of the activities of the previous school year and shared projections for the new school year. He underlined the importance for all educational stakeholders to question their practices and fully commit to the pursuit of excellence. The objective is to realize the vision of the Congolese government, that of building an inclusive and quality education system that contributes to national development, the promotion of peace and active democratic citizenship.

This back-to-school launch ceremony took place in the presence of numerous executives from the minister’s office, the EPST administration and other educational partners. It marks the beginning of a new school year under the sign of the improvement of the quality of education and the commitment of the actors of the Congolese education sector.

In conclusion, the 2023-2024 school year in Congo Kinshasa is launched under the theme of improving the quality of education.
