2024 Mining Cadastre Budget Conference in Kinshasa

The Mining Cadastre of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) recently began its budgetary conference for the 2024 financial year. This event, which takes place at the Cercle Elais in Kinshasa from September 6 to 9, 2023, brings together agents and executives of the Mining Cadastre (CAMI).

The opening ceremony of the conference was marked by the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the deputy Crispin MBINDULE, the Director General, Mr. Paul MABOLIA YENGA, and the Deputy Director General, Jacques MUYUMBA NDUBULE.

In his introductory speech, the Director General, Mr. Paul MABOLIA YENGA, underlined the crucial importance of this budgetary conference and the expectations associated with it. Indeed, the conclusions of this event are essential to enable CAMI to effectively manage the mining domain of the DRC. The DG also expressed his desire to make CAMI a structure of excellence that contributes effectively to state revenue, in accordance with the vision of President Félix Tshisekedi.

The DG also guaranteed compliance with the procedures for granting mining and quarry rights, as well as compliance with legal deadlines in processing files.

For his part, the deputy Crispin MBINDULE, President of the Board of Directors, underlined the importance of this budgetary conference as a privileged framework to discuss the main orientations and the means to be implemented to mobilize the resources necessary for the functioning of the CAMI. He also stressed that these missions are in line with the vision of the Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, who aspires to a prosperous mining sector.

MP MBINDULE urged all participants to show diligence and commitment in their proposals and discussions.

The work will be held in sub-commissions and will be directed by the Deputy General Manager, Mr. Jacques MUYUMBA NDUBULE. They will take place until September 9 and the conclusions will be presented to the senior hierarchy of CAMI, then submitted to the supervisory authority, the Minister of Mines.

This budgetary conference is of major importance for the mining sector of the DRC, because it will make it possible to plan the resources necessary for the effective management of the mining domain.
