“Tragic accident in Bogoro: 6 dead and 36 injured, a cry of alarm for road safety”

A new traffic accident recently rocked the locality of Bogoro, in the province of Ituri in DR Congo. This tragedy resulted in the loss of life of 6 people and injured 36 others, sending shock waves through the local community.

According to information provided by the provincial spokesperson for the police in Ituri, the higher commissioner Roger Tibasima, the accident was caused by a sudden technical breakdown and the speeding of the vehicle involved, a Fuso truck. The incident occurred on the Bogoro-Kagaba road, about 8 kilometers from the locality of Bogoro.

The toll of this accident is therefore tragic, with 6 people dead and 36 injured. Among the injured, 31 were transported and taken care of at Salama hospital, while 5 others were taken to Babenda to receive the necessary treatment. Unfortunately, the truck driver fled and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Faced with this sad reality, Commissioner Tibasima insisted on recalling the importance of regular technical inspections of vehicles to prevent such accidents. He also stressed the responsibility of drivers in carrying passengers, urging them to exercise caution and respect road safety rules.
