The Democratic Republic of Congo faces many challenges in improving the business climate, in particular the deterioration of the conditions for creating businesses in the country. To this end, the Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, recently expressed his concerns about the dysfunctions of the Single Window for Business Creation (GUCE) during the hundred and second meeting of the Council of Ministers.
According to the spokesperson for the Congolese government, Patrick Muyaya, the dysfunction of this service is characterized in particular by the non-respect of waiting times and the discontinuity of the service. President Tshisekedi therefore asked the Prime Minister, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, to convene the main stakeholders to quickly resolve the financing difficulties, the management of agents and the pooling of services involved.
In the medium term, an evaluation of the reform of the GUCE must be carried out to identify the avenues likely to optimize the completion of business formalities.
In short, the situation of the GUCE constitutes a real headache for investors in the DRC wishing to settle in the country. Congolese authorities must take quick and effective action to redress the situation and improve the business climate
