Action by the Nationalist Allies for Democracy: A new political grouping in the DRC that aims for a large majority for President Tshisekedi

The political scene in the Democratic Republic of Congo is agitated a few days before the convocation of the electorate for the national deputation in accordance with the electoral calendar made public on November 26, 2022. Senator Hyppolite Mutombo Mbwebwe indeed officially launched, this Saturday, June 17 , the political group Action des Alliés Nationalistes pour la Démocratie (AAND) which was born from the merger of two large groups, namely FNSD and AAAC, which competed in the previous legislative elections. During the press conference, the President of this new political grouping, Hyppolite Mutombo Mbwebwe, expressed his desire to confer on the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, a “large imposing majority” and win the next legislative elections brilliantly. .

The political group AAND is a force of the Sacred Union of the Nation towards which the gaze will now be turned in the elections of next December. Hyppolite Mutombo Mbwebwe believes that their regrouping is in line with the vision of the Head of State, that of emergence with the needs of the people as a priority. The Senator affirmed that they are social democrats who privilege the options of the well-being of the population with the economy and the social at the top of the list to satisfy the request of the party of the President of the Republic, as well as of the Sacred Union of the Nation.

The new political grouping AAND has promised to put an end to the political mimicry that characterizes certain political parties and political groupings. They plan to put the political parties in the electoral battlefield with a view to winning the elections and offering another mandate to Felix Tshisekedi, their only candidate.

In addition to this political news, other challenges continue to arise on Congolese territory. In the East and in the West of the country, several Congolese die every day because of the prevailing insecurity. If the AAND political group deplores this situation, it salutes the efforts of the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, who uses diplomatic and military means to put an end to this situation.

Ultimately, the official launch of the political group Action des Alliés Nationalistes pour la Démocratie (AAND) is news that is reinvigorating politics in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, just months before the legislative elections. The Congolese population, in search of peace, stability and development, has the right to bring about the advent of a responsible political class that prioritizes the needs of the people.
