From darkness to light: the city of Buta in the DRC lights up thanks to the Carole Agito Foundation
The city of Buta, located in the province of Bas-Uélé in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is experiencing a real revolution with the initiative of the Carole Agito Foundation. Indeed, this foundation led by Senator Carole Agito Amela is committed to enlightening the city and fighting against the measles epidemic that is raging in the region.
The latest donation from the Carole Agito Foundation is about to transform the lives of the people of Buta. A Serve Air cargo plane delivered a second batch of streetlights for the city, as well as measles response drugs. These 300 new streetlights are added to those already installed previously.
It is important to emphasize that this is the first time since the colonial era that the town of Buta will benefit from public lighting. Thanks to the commitment of Carole Agito Amela, local girl and senator, this challenge will be met and will allow the population to live in a secure and enlightened environment.
Work to install the streetlights will begin on Place Bois-Rouge, opposite Avenue Mongengeta, and will continue in all the other arteries of the city. The objective is to light up all the avenues of the capital of Bas-Uélé, thus offering the population a better living environment.
But the Carole Agito Foundation does not intend to stop there. Its ambition is to extend public lighting to the entire territory of Buta, including in towns such as Kumu, Bagbe, Titule, Liguga, as well as in other surrounding trading centers such as Makala, Koteli, Melume. and many others.
It is important to highlight the role of Carole Agito Amela as a politician and entrepreneur committed to the development of Bas-Uélé. It has already demonstrated its support for the region by providing financial assistance for the burial of the first governor of Bas-Uélé, Valentin Senga. His Foundation is socially oriented and aims to improve the living conditions of the population.
In conclusion, the initiative of the Carole Agito Foundation marks a major turning point in the lives of the inhabitants of Buta. Thanks to public lighting, the city regains safety and visibility, and the fight against the measles epidemic becomes more accessible
