The Preparatory Technical Commission for the Extraordinary Congress: a step towards the political future of the DRC

The decision to create a Preparatory Technical Commission for the Extraordinary Congress of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress was announced by Secretary General Augustin Kabuya on August 14, 2023. This commission will be responsible for organizing and ratifying the candidacy of Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi in the presidential election of December 20, 2023.

Composed of 26 members, appointed by the secretary general of the party, the Technical Preparatory Commission will be headed by an office comprising a coordinator, two assistants, a reporting secretary, an assistant reporting secretary, a finance officer and an assistant finance officer.
