Congolese Ministers visit Kaniama Kasese’s National Service to see the impressive results.
The Minister of State for the Budget, Aimé Boji, and the Minister of Finance, Nicolas Kazadi, recently visited the site of the National Service of Kaniama Kasese in order to see with their own eyes the results obtained by this service of interest general. This visit marks the first time that members of the government have visited the site since it was taken over by General Kasongo Kabwik, under the direction of the Presidency of the Republic.
The reason for this visit was simple: the Ministers wanted to see for themselves the work carried out and the progress made by the National Service, which has benefited from substantial resources in recent times. They were totally impressed with the various activities going on at the site.
From the training and supervision center to the construction sites and the carpentry workshop, the Ministers were able to see the transformation of these young people who were once marginalized by society. They also underlined the importance of this service which is not limited only to the production of maize, but which encompasses an entire ecosystem. Indeed, the National Service aims not only to train young people but also to produce various goods and services, such as the construction of buildings, schools, dormitories, etc.
National Service Administrators stressed that the priority was to support members of the security forces and their families. They also mentioned that the National Service supplied other bases, in particular that of Kamina.
Before leaving the premises, the Ministers visited the National Service garage, where they were able to see the new machines acquired thanks to the support of the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi. They praised the role of the National Service in the transformation of Congolese society.
This visit of Ministers to Kaniama Kasese bears witness to the importance attached to National Service by the Congolese government. This is a concrete response for the reintegration of young people in difficulty and for the socio-economic development of the country
