Kinshasa’s ANAPEX (National Export Promotion Agency) was recently the victim of a defamation campaign aimed at discrediting its image. Malicious articles circulated, fueled by sponsors seeking to sow doubt about the management of this agency. However, it is clear that these attacks are based on misinformation and glaring inconsistencies.
First of all, it is important to emphasize that ANAPEX enjoys legal personality and management autonomy. Attempts to question its functioning and to sow discord within the organization are therefore unwarranted.
Moreover, the sponsors of these articles made gross errors in their attempt to tarnish the reputation of ANAPEX. They confuse, for example, the decree creating the agency with a presidential order, thus demonstrating their ignorance of the facts.
The accusations against the Director General of ANAPEX are just as unfounded. The sponsors of these articles claimed to have obtained an internal memo evoking a dysfunction within the agency. However, it is interesting to note that this memo was allegedly written by fictitious agents and that the journalists who allegedly wrote the article were not even aware of the existence of ANAPEX.
In addition, it should be noted that since April 2023, a team from the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) has been sent to ANAPEX to support the agency in its management. This mission aims to guarantee the transparency of financial operations and to control the regularity of staff recruitments and transfers. Thus, ANAPEX is currently subject to a thorough examination by a competent institution, the IGF, which is able to clarify any unfounded accusation.
It is clear that these attacks against ANAPEX are based only on manipulation and desperate attempts to harm the agency. The facts show that ANAPEX is in fact engaged in a process of maturation and that it benefits from the support of the IGF, in the name of the President of the Republic.
In conclusion, it is important not to get caught up in malicious and misinformation-based articles
