The provincial Ministry of Transport and the Yango company have announced their collaboration to modernize urban mobility in Kinshasa. This association aims to offer safe, reliable and affordable ride-hailing services using the latest digitization technologies.
The partnership is seen as an important step forward for the city, as it is a long-term solution to the problem of urban mobility, which is a major challenge for Kinshasa. City residents stand to benefit from improvements in mobility, including lower costs, better safety and better quality of service.
As part of the collaboration, the Yango company will provide an application that will allow customers to directly book ride-hailing services online, as well as real-time information on prices and waiting times. This booking platform meets the specific needs of the city of Kinshasa, where it is difficult to move quickly and efficiently during peak hours.
The Ministry of Transport, for its part, will contribute to the regulatory and legislative framework, as well as to the promulgation of the measures necessary for the implementation of the project. It will also contribute to enhancing safety for road users and VTC drivers.
The deployment of this urban mobility platform is considered an important step for Kinshasa, which faces major mobility challenges. This collaboration will allow the city to modernize its transport infrastructure and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.
