The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo presented a note on the country’s health situation at the 101st meeting of the Council of Ministers. The Minister of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention, assured that the various services are working tirelessly to manage, curb and eradicate diseases such as cholera and measles.
In addition, public health professionals in the country have expressed their intention to resume the strike movement if the government does not respond to their various concerns. In response to these requests, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Public Service, Modernization and Administration and Innovation of the Public Service, chaired a meeting with the Syndicate bench of the health sector on June 06, 2023 to launch the work of the inter-ministerial commission responsible for harmonizing the salary package as well as aligning doctors, nurses, administrators and other public sector professionals in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the bonus.
