Hortense Kavuo Maliro, founder of the association for the social integration of the physically handicapped in the Democratic Republic of Congo, has announced her candidacy for the country’s highest office. His motivation? Participate efficiently in the management of the nation. She says she is convinced that, as the constitution allows her to, she is capable of bringing about significant changes for the well-being of the population, both security and economic.

Born in 1979, Hortense Kavuo Maliro is a strong woman, despite the difficulties inherent in her physical handicap. She has already tried her luck in the national legislative elections but was not elected. However, she continues to campaign for women’s participation in the management of public affairs and for the inclusion of people with disabilities at the political level.

Hortense Kavuo Maliro is also the promoter of We Are The World School, a school for child victims of war in North Kivu. She is convinced that education is one of the most important ways to rebuild a country in peace.

The announcement of his candidacy was followed by those of many other persons with disabilities, who announced their candidacy at different levels of the elections.
