The meeting between Me Jules Lodi Emongo, governor of the province of Sankuru, and Professor André Mbata, first vice-president of the National Assembly, took place on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. During this meeting, they discussed several important subjects, such as security, elections, as well as the development of the province.
As part of his project to develop 145 territories, President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi aims to pay particular attention to the province of Sankuru. Me Jules Lodi Emongo therefore met with Professor André Mbata to discuss the alignment of his development projects with the vision of the Head of State.
The Deputy Director General of the Roads Office also attended this meeting and declared that the hundred bridges ordered for the opening up of the country were already deployed throughout the territory.
Governor Lodi Emongo also addressed the issue of security and demanded that political actors in the region cease all violence and abandon any idea of a militia.
Although the crisis in the Sankuru Provincial Assembly was mentioned, the governor reserved any comment.
In short, this meeting made it possible to address subjects of great importance which require the cooperation of the various actors of the province of Sankuru.
