The Deputy Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Jean Pierre Lihau, officially launched the second wave of biometric identification of state agents. It was on June 8 in the province of Kasaï Oriental, in the presence of the provincial authorities, in particular the governor of the said province.
This phase of biometric identification follows the promises made by the Deputy Prime Minister to the governor of the province last January. Its purpose is to review the cases of agents who could not be identified during the first wave for one reason or another.
The Deputy Prime Minister therefore invited all the agents concerned by this operation to capitalize on this moment. The Governor, meanwhile, praised the efforts of the President of the Republic for his enlightened vision to improve public administration by bringing innovations. He also encouraged the VPM of the Public Service for its efforts to reform and clean up the public administration.
The official launch of this second phase of biometric identification of State agents marks an important step for the DRC in the modernization of its public administration. This operation will make it possible to better identify the workforce of the public administration for a more effective management of human resources.
