The importance of the IGF’s supervisory mission in the province of Kongo Central
Good financial governance is one of the essential pillars of the development of a region or a country. It is with this in mind that the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) carried out a supervision mission in the province of Kongo Central for a year.
The main objective of this mission was to evaluate and support financial operations in the province, ensuring that they respect the principles of transparency and good management of resources.
According to Jules Alingete, the Inspector General of Finance, Head of Service, the results of this mission are very satisfactory. Thanks to the supervision of the IGF, the province of Kongo Central was able to maintain a trajectory of good financial governance.
Governor Guy Bandu, for his part, underlined the importance of this supervisory mission. He believes that the presence of IGF inspectors has enabled the services and collaborators of the province to stay on the path of good governance.
However, he also underlines the need to strengthen the tax culture in the province, in order to improve revenue performance. He thus proposes the holding of a workshop on good governance, to increase the awareness of local actors and avoid any poor financial management practices.
The IGF plays an essential role in strengthening financial governance and in the fight against corruption. Its supervisory missions allow the entities concerned to benefit from valuable advice and recommendations for sound and transparent financial management.
In conclusion, the supervision mission of the IGF in the province of Kongo Central had a positive impact on the financial governance of the region. It bears witness to the importance of transparency and good management of resources for economic and social development. It is therefore essential to continue to support and strengthen these mentoring initiatives to guarantee a prosperous future for Kongo Central and its inhabitants.
