In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the political party of Moïse Katumbi, Together for the Republic, reacted following the search carried out in its residences in Kinshasa and Lubumbashi. According to the secretary general of the party, this search orchestrated by various state services was carried out without warning the owner of the premises. Together for the Republic denounces an attempt to muzzle the opposition and calls on the population to resist the dictatorial drift.
The searches carried out by the military intelligence services targeted the residences of Moise Katumbi and his strategic adviser Salomon Idi Kalonda Della. Although Kalonda was arrested upon his return to Lubumbashi, there were no alleged offenses regarding Katumbi so far.
