The Governor of Sankuru Province, Me Jules Lodi Emongo was received on Wednesday June 7, 2023 by Professor André Mbata, First Vice-President of the National Assembly, in his office. During their meeting, the two personalities discussed issues such as security, elections and the development of the province of Sankuru, in accordance with the development project of 145 territories initiated by the President of the Republic.
The deputy director general of the Office des Routes also participated in this important meeting for the governor of the province. The exchanges enabled the first vice-president of the lower house of parliament to remind the governor of the importance of drawing inspiration from the vision of the head of state for the development of the province of Sankuru and thus encouraging actions that he plans to carry out locally.
The Governor expressed his confidence in the interview when speaking to the press following the hearing. According to him, it is time for the Sankuru to really give a provincial image. He also highlighted the need to secure the electoral process, recalling the progress of the vote on the law on the distribution of seats at the level of the lower house of parliament. The Deputy Director General of the Roads Office, for his part, stressed the importance of ordering bridges for opening up the country.
Finally, the governor recalled his commitment to fight against all forms of violence by political actors, during their intervention at the level of parliament in Kinshasa. Governor Jules Lodi insisted on the need for everyone to support him in the implementation of his development projects presented during the interview with the first vice-president of the national assembly.
In short, this meeting is a first step towards sustainable development of the province of Sankuru, which is fully in line with the program of 145 territories of the President of the Republic.
